What is a routine?

An effective routine is a set of steps that you do on a weekly or daily basis to make sure your skin is healthy and clean. For this article, we will focus on a simple, easy 10-step plan. This is roughly what you should be doing if you’re not sure where to start.

The basics of a routine: cleansing, toning, exfoliating, moisturizing, and protection.

The best way to start out is by cleansing your skin in the morning and in the evening before you go to bed. In-between these times, make sure you wash your hands properly with soap and water. Second, on our list is toning. After cleansing or washing your face with a standard cleanser, follow up with a toner that will bring back the pH balance in your skin. That’s important because if it’s not at its optimal levels you can end up putting moisture where there isn’t any which leads to dryness – not what we’re going for! After that comes exfoliation, which should be done once a week. After toning, add exfoliating serum to your skin and let it sit for 5 minutes or so. Then rinse it off and continue with the rest of your routine.

The what not to do’s of the skincare routine.

Do not neglect the SPF! Whether you like it or not, sun damage happens. Make sure that you use a lotion or cream that contains at least an SPF30. Also, do not skip exfoliating. Make sure that you are doing this once a week because it will help with the overall health of your skin and also makes sure that all of your absorb correctly onto your face.

it’s important to simplify your skincare routine.

How? Start by adding one thing to your routine at a time. For example, you could start with either cleansing or moisturizing and then move on to the toning and then exfoliating. Do this until you have all of these steps done twice a day.

Yes: you can simplify your life and take really good care of your skin! The key here is doing things in moderation so that it becomes part of your daily or weekly schedule instead of something daunting or overwhelming. That’s what we’re going for here – who doesn’t want to simplify their lives as much as possible

How you can apply these tips and tricks every day for good results.

What you need to do is start by picking your favorite products. You can use 2 or 3 products if that works best for your schedule. For our example, we’ll focus on the morning routine because it’s easier to remember and also gives us a great base to work with throughout the day.

You will need 1 cleansing product (micellar water or cleanser), 1 toner, 1 serum containing antioxidants like vitamin C (or A) and E (for moisturizing).

BONUS TIP: these products can be interchanged depending on what skincare goals you want to achieve. For example, you may want to add an exfoliating serum in place of one of the other products if you’re trying to get rid of dead skin cells!

Tips on how to save time and money when taking care of your skin

The first thing you can do: pick one day out of the week and set aside time to take care of your skin. For example, Sunday night is the preferred day for most people to do their skincare routine. This way it’s done and you know that your skin will be looking good when the time comes around again.

The second thing you can do: make a list of all of your favorite products and put them in a weekly rotation so you don’t get bored with them! If you notice that one isn’t working for your skin or that you’re allergic to something, stop using it immediately and go back to step 1.

Remember that skincare should never be painful or expensive! Take our advice here on how to simplify your skincare routine from start to finish because we’ve been through the wringer when it comes down to taking care of our skin. Now we’re here to show you how it’s done!

What products you need and where you can find them (eBay, Amazon, etc.)

You will need cleansing product, toner, serum.

To find these products online, you can go to Amazon or eBay. Make sure to search for products that are free of parabens, phthalates, and sulfates because these chemicals can irritate your skin.

How long it takes each step in the process – so we know if we have enough time or not!

STEP 1: CLEANSE – 15 minutes STEP 2: EXFOLIATE – 5 minutes STEP 3: TONE – 5 minutes STEP 4: SERUM – 30 seconds to 1-minute STEP 5: MOISTURIZE – 30 seconds to 1 minute

BONUS TIP: you can do your skincare routine in a matter of about 10-15 minutes if you time it correctly! If you’re going out for the day, make sure to add a few extra minutes on top of that depending on what products you use. This is especially important if you wear makeup! We recommend adding at least an additional 20-30 minutes to this schedule. You should take care of your skin BEFORE applying makeup which means you should factor in time for the cleansing and toning steps.

The importance of moisturizing- why it’s one of the most important steps to take.

It is especially important to think about adding a moisturizer to your skincare routine if you have dry skin. Not only do moisturizers make your skin look and feel amazing, but they also contain antioxidants that help to prevent wrinkles from forming. It’s a win-win, so make sure to use one!

BONUS TIP: If you have oily skin, try using an oil-free moisturizer in the summertime when the heat is intense. If you live somewhere with cold weather, however, be careful not to overdo it because this will cause your skin to produce more oils than necessary. Excess oil is never good for your face! We recommend using a lightweight moisturizer instead. Let us know if you need more advice on this!
